3 sparkling wines (other than champagne) to ring in your new year

It’s safe to say that everyone has been affected by this pandemic in some capacity, whether it had to do with a job, finances, health, or education. But I’ve learned that even in the worst of times you can still find something positive.

When I played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, our Head Coach Gus Bradley would say, “Celebrate the Victories.” When you win, of course there is a lot to celebrate. But when you lose, even though you did not get the desired result, you can still find something in that game that you can be proud of.

Due to this pandemic, I, like everyone else, missed out on opportunities: broadcasting opportunities, coaching opportunities, and business opportunities. However, I was able to invest in my family emotionally and spiritually. I was able to invest time into building the infrastructure of my wine business, The Wine MVP.

Despite the hardship, these were a few of my Victories in 2020. I’ll for sure cheers to that!

To ring in the new year, traditionally Champagne is the obvious choice. But Champagne is not the only sparkling wine. Here are a few other sparkling wines that you can pop when the clock hits twelve to celebrate your victories.

  1. Roger Goulart Cava Gran Reserva Extra Brut 2011 // $17.98

  2. Adami Prosecco Valdobbiadene Brut Bosco di Gica // $16.98

  3. Louis Roederer Brut Blanc de Blancs 2011 // $79.98

Happy New Year! And remember to always drink responsibly.
