5 documentaries to watch that will push you to be more responsible

This month our Pursuit focus is on being more responsible. We believe that knowledge is power. And with regards to protecting and being more responsible stewards of the planet, the more we know about our impact and what we can do to change and reverse the effects, the better. While we certainly don't know everything, we are dedicated to becoming more responsible and we hope you join us. In an effort to do so, we've put together a list of must-see documentaries filled with credible and compelling content that will hopefully motivate us all to do our part, big or small, each day. Without further ado, here are our top 5 suggestions.

 

1. Our Planet 

If you loved Planet Earth, this is right up your alley. Narrated by David Attenborough, Our Planet, explores climate change and how it is impacting all living creatures and ecosystems. Prepare yourself for the walrus scene. It's heartbreaking.

2. Chasing Coral

This beautiful underwater documentary follows a team of divers, scientists and photographers deep into the ocean as they search to further understand why corals are disappearing and how what we can do to stop it.  Get ready for beautiful seascapes and some disappointing ends to those landscapes.

3. Tomorrow

If you are interested in responsibility and sustainability, but are looking for something with an upbeat undertone, this is for you. This documentary follows a group of filmmakers as they travel the globe finding and talking to everyday sustainability innovators and speak to the idea that little by little, if we all pitch in, we can make a difference.

4. Seaspiracy 

Buckle up. Filmmaker Ali Tabirzi takes you on his journey uncovering the corruption behind the fishing industry as well as everything humans are doing to harm the oceans. It's provocative, intense, and sheds light on a sad reality.

5. The Game Changers

This documentary follows a cast of high-performance athletes who dispel many of the age-old myths about meat and protein consumption and it's ties to fitness and strength. It also takes a look at plant-based protein and eating and it's benefits for both individuals and for our Earth.
