upleveled grilled cheese

Grilled cheese might sound boring, but thanks to dietician Chris Mohr, we've leveled up. And when was leveling up ever a bad thing? It wasn't. Grab your bread and let's start cooking. 


Upleveled Grilled Cheese

Serves 1



2 slices sprouted grain bread

1 TBS butter

¼ lb, sliced fresh mozzarella cheese

1/2 tomato, sliced

1 tbsp prepared pesto



  1. Preheat pan over medium heat

  2. Wash and slice tomato

  3. Spread butter evenly between the two slices of bread and cook, buttered side down

  4. Thinly slice mozzarella cheese and add tomato slices & pesto

  5. Cook until golden brown on one slide – flip and repeat until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown on both sides.
