These shorts are perfect for barbell work!! The longer inseam protects my thighs when doing deadlifts and cleans!
I bought my first pair of Rhone Makos at a department store after they were rated as best workout shorts in Men's health. They were simply better. The quality and fabric were exactly what I wanted. I have others, but I wear these. I now have several pair and highly recommend them. I use them for CrossFit and they are durable enough and flexible enough to last.
I like them but not as much as the last pair of Mako shorts I ordered years ago. I prefer the secret zipper pocket placement on the old design. Overall still great shorts and are my go too for any workout!
These are great additions to your shorts drawer. Great for working out or all purpose weekend wear. Material has a nice weight, feels great. You’ll miss them when they go into the laundry.
The materials are comfortable. I was in between sizes and should have sized down instead of up.

I like the stash pocket but do not like the change that was made a while back to the orientation of the stash pocket. The previous version allowed items to be inserted into the stash pocket in the same direction as the left pocket which was much easier to do. With the previous version it was also easier to sit when there were items in the stash pocket.
I started buying Rhone clothing last year, and I haven’t looked back. I was looking for something that was better than Nike, and Rhone is not just better than Nike, Rhone is better than every other athletic brand that I have ever tried! Rhone clothing is extremely comfortable, looks great, and performs magnificently! Don’t just do it, do it right! Goodbye Nike!
I started using unlined Mako shorts as my off the bike garb a few years ago. They are comfortable, and stylish enough to wear in town. The dry quickly if I'm washing in a sink, and take up little space in a pannier.

Recently purchased these and I have already wore them for 3 of my workouts and I must say, they are possibly the best pair of shorts I ever ever worn. I own a pair of lululemon shorts and they don't even come close to these. There are plenty of pockets as well to fit all your stuff and they just fit perfectly. I have already recommended them to colleagues of mine and if you are looking for shorts I would go with these
