“For everyone, well-being is a journey. The secret is committing to that journey and taking those first steps with hope and belief in yourself.” – Deepak Chopra
Self-care–a term that has become commonplace but has lost some of its value over time. A term that has long been seen as the cure for things like burnout, stress and overwhelm. But also a term that has become, to some degree, surface level. A massage, some yoga or a weekend offline may do the trick in the short-term, but what self-care practices are you implementing daily to keep your mind, body and soul feeling and operating at their best throughout life’s journey? And while both the short-term and long-term practices have their place, the most important aspect is to understand what works best for you as an individual.
As we shift into the last (and often busiest) quarter of the year, we’re focusing on self-care this month. Our goal is to ensure that you’re equipped with the tools needed to navigate whatever life throws your way–while always taking the moments you need for yourself. As they say, “you can’t pour from an empty cup” and you can’t be there for others (at your best) unless you're first there for yourself.
Your personal well-being is a key component within the collective well-being of us all.
Join us this month as we test our strategies and practices for self-care and find the ideal “self-care cocktails” that work for our individual needs. From learning the science of breath to the power of community, self-care practices, and a focus on World Mental Health Day, we invite you to take time for yourself everyday this month (and beyond) for your body and mind.
