My gym has old, scratchy white towels that are an annoyance during a workout and almost painful to dry off with after a shower. Moreover, the gym offers a single size, somewhere between too big as a work-out towel and too small as a bath towel. The only positive is that they're free and I don't have to wash or dry them (pick them up off the shelf, use them, throw them in the bin). I tried a quick-drying, microfiber towel once (common in camping), but while it wasn't scratchy, it wasn't exactly pleasant either. Given my experience with Rhone's workout clothes (the shorts are far and away the most comfortable clothes I have ever owned), I wanted to give this towel a try, but it absolutely had to be capable of drying over night (I work out in the mornings). Otherwise, I would have to lug the towel home every night and wash it; in that case, I would have stayed with the gym towels. Here's my feedback. First, the towel is comfortable, not luxurious like a really nice cotton towel (which take forever to dry and are heavy even when they're not wet) but definitely comfortable enough for average, daily use and light-years better than a microfiber towel. Second, it does dry over night. Third, the color is good and the "Rhone" label stands out. Finally, and this is my suggestion for improvement, it should be offered in more sizes. I would make one a bit smaller for working out and one larger for showering. I like it enough to buy two more. I will stitch those together to make a big bath towel.
